Liturgical Ministries involve a roll in the Liturgies of the Church on weekends, weekdays, and Holy Days.
Altar Servers -
Parish youth, fifth grade and older are eligible to become altar servers. Training is offered each fall with Fr. Jack for new members of this Ministry. One or two servers are scheduled for each weekend Liturgy and Holy Days when appropriate, considering the school calendar.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion -
Parishioners who attend Mass and have been confirmed may become extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. Training is offered by Fr. Jack each fall for new members of this Ministry. Three Ministers are scheduled for each Weekend Mass to assist with the distribution of Holy Communion in both forms.
Parishioners who attend Mass and have been confirmed may become Lectors. Training is offered by Fr. Jack each fall, and lectors are provided with a study book containing the readings for the upcoming church year to assist with preparation and pronunciations.
Music Ministry -
Festival Choir -
The Parish Music Ministry is headed by Director of Liturgical Music, Kevin Mathieu. Foremost in the ministry is the Parish Festival Choir. Beginning each Fall the choir gathers on Thursday evenings for rehearsals to prepare for The Feast of Saint Jude, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter, and a handful of other special Masses and Liturgies throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring. More information can be found on the Music Ministry Page.
Ushers / Collectors -
Parishioners who attend Mass may become ushers/collectors for weekend Masses and Holy Days. Aside from taking the collection during the offertory, members may also greet those attending Mass, help them find seats during busy Masses and assist in emergency situations that may arise during a Mass. New ministry training will be held in the fall.

The Ladies Guild was established in 1952 and is very active in the parish. The purpose of the guild is to bring together the women of the parish for spiritual and social purposes, to further charitable and social interests and to assist in parish activities.
The guild meets four times a year starting in September, November, March and April, along with a few other special events each year. More information can be found on the Ladies Guild Page.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This beautiful ministry consists of a group of ladies who enjoy knitting and crocheting.
Our monthly prayer shawl meeting opens with a prayer which sets the mood for our work. These shawls are blessed during mass and come with a prayer card and medal.
They are freely given to those in need who may be suffering with illness, alone at home, nursing home residents and others who would benefit from this gift.
We are truly blessed with the gift of time and talent and wish to share it with those in need.
