Rev. John M. “Jack” Lizewski

Rev. John M. ('Jack') Lizewski has been serving as the priest-pastor of Saint Aloysius-Saint Jude Parish - Leicester, MA since June 30, 2012.

His educational background included: Saint Mary's Elementary & High Schools - Worcester, MA {1960-1973}; Worcester State College {Bachelor of Arts: History with minor concentrations in Philosophy, English, French: 1973-1977}; Worcester State College {Master of Education: History, 1980}. Teaching career included: Newton Central Catholic High School {1980-1984}; Saint Bernard's Central Catholic High School, Fitchburg, MA {1984-1988}; Saint Mary's High School, Worcester, MA {1988-1996}.

Father Lizewski prepared for the Catholic priesthood at Pope John XXIII {now 'Saint John XXIII'} Seminary, Weston, MA and was ordained a priest for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Worcester, MA on June 5, 1999. His priestly assignments have been: associate pastor at Saint Patrick's Parish, Whitinsville {Northbridge}, MA {1999-2000}; pastor at Saint Stanislaus Parish, West Warren, MA {2000-2007}; campus chaplain at Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA {2007-2011}, as a part-time faculty member teaching global social studies {world history/geography}, with residence as part-time weekend help at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, West Boylston, MA {2007- 2010} and at Christ the King Parish, Worcester, MA {2010-2011} and then serving as associate pastor at Christ the King Parish {2011-2012} until his current assignment as pastor at Saint Aloysius-Saint Jude Parish, Leicester, MA.

His home parish is Our Lady of Czestochowa, Worcester, MA and he is an associate member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, his elementary and high school teachers with whom he taught when he taught at his 'alma mater'. Father Jack has enjoyed the wonderful 'spirit' that seems to attract many new members to saint Aloysius-Saint Jude Parish; he is especially proud of the beautiful 'Catholic look' restoration of the Church sanctuary and other improvements to the Church-Parish Hall-Rectory since arriving in June, 2012.

Mr. Kevin D. Mathieu

Kevin has been at Saint Aloysius-Saint Jude since mid September 2010, having previously been organist at Saint Joseph Church, Charlton, and associate organist at Saint Patrick Church, Jaffrey, NH.

In the five years since Kevin began his ministry at Saint Aloysius-Saint Jude, he has started a Festival Choir which sings for Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, and various other feasts and Holy days throughout the year.

He has been playing the organ for over 12 years and studied organ privately with Mr. William Ness, Minister of Music Emeritus of First Baptist Church, Worcester.

Kevin has been a staff piano teacher for the Leicester Community Music School, a program of the Leicester Town Band, since the school opened in January of 2014.

Outside of playing organ, Kevin runs an organ building firm and is actively engaged in the tuning maintenance, rebuilding and restoration of pipe organs in New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Kevin also spends his spare time rebuilding his antique upright player piano, and has been a part time piano tuner for several years.
